Debut Winner for Hallowed Crown

Godolphin purchased a number of yearlings at the sales of 2018 and among them was Hallowed Crown colt Widespread, who made a winning debut at Cranbourne on Friday evening.

Hallowed CrownTrained by James Cummings, Widespread led all the way as favourite to score a length and a quarter win in the 1200 metre maiden.

A $50,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Godolphin from the Jorson Farm draft, Widespread is the second winner for Wide Open, a minor winner by Danehil Dancer (IRE) from the family of stakes-winner The Essence.

Widespread is the third winner for Hallowed Crown, who has a very smart two year-old in Singapore in Big Hearted, who has two wins in as many starts including a tenacious victory in the $75,000 Inglis Ready2Race Sales Stakes.

A dual Group I winner by Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense (USA) from the family of champion sire Zabeel, Hallowed Crown stands at Darley at a fee of $11,000.
