Group One Sprinter Retired to Stud

Group I winning Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) mare Sheidel has been retired from racing and will start a new career in the breeding barn.

Sheidel - Grant CourtneyLindsay Park Racing has announced that 2017 Oakleigh Plate winner, a now six-year-old mare which won almost $1.7m in prizemoney, has run her last race.

They Tweeted - Gr 1 winner Sheidel will retire to Rob & Sylvie Crabtree's Dorrington Farm. The $1.7 million earner has a date with Written Tycoon this spring.

Sheidel competed in the 2018 Oakleigh Plate at last Saturday but finished down the track in 16th spot, more than seven lengths off Russian Revolution.
