Dynamic Return for Talented Filly

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday December 20
This time last year Dynamic Syndications were thinking Magic Millions with talented Exceed and Excel filly We Have Lift Off, who finished a debut fourth in the BRC Calaway Gal Stakes.

Unfortunately, after that encouraging debut things went awry and it was not until today that We Have Lift Off made it back to the track.

We Have Lift Off as a yearlingPreviously with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, but now with Brad Widdup, she showed plenty of her old ability when travelling smoothly and kicking away to win the 1100 metre maiden by three-quarters of a length.

"I was delighted when Adam (Watt) decided to give her to us and she's obviously a talented filly," said Brad Widdup.

While the filly is Magic Millions eligible, the big $10 million raceday at the Gold Coast in January is not really on the radar.

"There's always next year, there's no rush for that,"Widdup said.

A $170,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Segenhoe Stud draft, We Have Lift Off is the first winner for stakes-placed Encosta de Lago mare Houston Benefactor, a sister to Group II winner Sovereign Nation and three-quarter sister-in-blood to Champion 3YO Filly Princess Coup.

Segenhoe Stud will offer a Snitzel yearling filly from Houston Benefactor at Inglis Easter next year.

Segenhoe Stud will start the 2018 sales season offering 19 yearlings at Magic Millions, click here to see them.
