New Justify Stakes-Winner from Famous Australian Family

Tara Madgwick - Monday November 27

Triple Crown hero Justify (USA) posted a new juvenile stakes-winner in North America when Just Steel captured the $222,505 Listed Ed Brown Stakes (6 ½ f) at Churchill Downs and his all Australian female family has produced two Australian Group winners this spring in Muramasa and Banana Queen, so you just know there are going to be a lot of 2024 sales yearlings that get a pedigree update for his success.

Trained by D Wayne Lucas, Just Steel has had a busy season with a win and two placings from six previous starts, but  soared to a new level with his first Black Type victory.

Just Steel was strong to the line winning by two and a half lengths.
