100th Winner for Better Than Ready –Set to Star MM Gold Coast March

Tara Madgwick - Thursday March 16

Lyndhurst Stud’s Better Than Ready posted his 100th winner of the season in the juvenile maiden at Townsville on Thursday when This Girl’s Ready became his ninth 2YO winner of the season and he’s poised to make a big impact at the Gold Coast next week with some 40 yearlings to be offered at Magic Millions March.

MM 2YO Classic winner Skirt the Law has been a pinup girl this season for Better Than Ready.

Better Than Ready is enjoying a benchmark season and is currently the leading 2YO sire in the country by earnings with his $2.2million narrowly shading Exceed and Excel thanks to the deeds of his brilliant daughter Skirt the Law, winner of the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

He is the seventh sire to crack 100 winners for the season and his $7.6million in overall progeny  earnings has him just outside the Top 10 on the General Sires List.

Fans of Better Than Ready will be making a beeline for the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale next week where he has 44 yearlings catalogued for sale so buyers are spoiled  for choice.
