Ultra Smart Debut Winner for Street Cry
Tara Madgwick - Wednesday, 12 July 2017
Sean Buckley's Ultra Racing colours have been carried to victory by champions Miss Andretti and Shamus Award with the latest promising winner to salute for Ultra coming at Sandown on Wednesday.

Prepared by Robert Smerdon, three year-old Street Cry (IRE) filly Street Impact was sent out a raging hot favourite for the 1200 metre maiden.

Street CryShe travelled just off the leaders for Craig Williams and found the line strongly to score a narrow win.

"She's got a big future. Even though the margin probably wasn't as decisive as we'd have thought, she will derive a lot of benefit from today's experience," said Craig Williams.

Bred and retained to race by Ultra Racing, Street Impact has a Group I pedigree as she is the second winner from Group I winner Culminate, a sibling to the dams of Group I winners Eileen Dubh and Captivate.

Culminate produced a filly by Shamus Award last spring and will foal to the Cox Plate winner again this year.
