Group One winning son of champion sire Fastnet Rock, Wanted, has been sold in a deal brokered by the team at gavelhouse,com.

WantedListed for auction on gavelhouse.com Australia on account of Sun Stud, Wanted attracted plenty of interest from the outset and has sold to an Australian buyer for $52,500.

"Buyers from Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Turkey were interested in him and although he didn't sell on the night of the auction, we have managed to get a deal done while another interested party has taken a share in him with his new owners which is great to see."

"The gavelhouse.com brand is well known in the industry as a successful channel for moving on stallions and this goes right to back when Gary Moore owned the site before its' purchase by New Zealand Bloodstock," commented Sales and Marketing Manager Haylie Martin.

The sale of Wanted comes off the back of the purchase of Group Three winnerPrince of Brooklyn via gavelhouse.com Australia to stand at Grassyards Farm in the South Island of New Zealand.

Other stallions placed via gavelhouse.comsince its' launch as an auction site include Fast Dragon and Albrecht.

Stallion shares have sold for up to $41,500 including the five time Group One winner Darci Brahma, promising young sire Super Easy, and the son of Encosta de Lago, Road to Rock.

The current gavelhouse.com New Zealand auction features a rare service to Reliable Man this spring with Westbury Stud's multiple Group One winner's book now closed. Bidding on this sale closes from 7pm NZ time on Monday 10 July.
