Geelong Juvenile Double for Widden Sires

Unwanted by punters, two year-old Sebring filly Leady Seabring made a lie of her $21 starting price when powering clear to post an impressive debut victory at Geelong on Friday in the 1300 metre two year-old maiden.

Trained by Jerome Hunter, Lady Seabring settled back in the field and charged to the line to win with ease.

Lady Seabring as a yearlingA $40,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Graeme Gathercole of Graebar Park from the Two Bays Farm draft, Lady Seabring is the first winner for metropolitan winning Fastnet Rock mare Whitesails.

She is the 15th Australian two year-old winner this season for Sebring, who has had a great season with over $9.5 million in progeny earnings.

Sebring's barn mate Star Witness chimed in with a juvenile winner of his own when the Matt Laurie trained From the Clouds scored her second win when beating older rivals in the 1000 metre Benchmark 64 event.

Sebring stands at a fee of $66,000 this spring and Star Witness at $33,000.
