Rare Opportunity to Secure a Success Express Mare

Tara Madgwick - Sunday June 11
Success Express (USA) has been one of the most influential broodmare sires in recent years and at the upcoming Inglis Great Southern Sale comes a rare opportunity to secure one of his daughters.

Mystic BelleThe only mare catalogued at this sale by Success Express or at the recent Magic Millions National Sale, Mystic Belle will be offered by Cornerstone Stud as agent as Lot 738.

Conceived in the fourth last crop of foals by Success Express, Mystic Belle is a half-sister to Group I placed Group III winner Kazakh Belle and traces in tail female line to Champion NZ 3YO Star Belle.

An outcross stallion from the Prince John sireline, Success Express has achieved phenomenal success as a broodmare sire despite having covered comparatively small books of mares compared to his peers today.

Success Express is the sire of the dams of 31 stakes-winners, 11 of them being Group I winners headed by Cox Plate winners Savabeel, Shamus Award and Pinker Pinker and champion sprinting fillies Gold Edition and Sea Siren.

He brings a real diversity into a pedigree that has proven successful at the highest levels of racing and over a range of distances.

Australian Horse of the Year Winx, a dual Cox Plate winner, is another current superstar to carry his electric bloodline as her dam Vegas Showgirl is by his New Zealand based Group I winning son Al Akbar.

ValentiaDanehill line sires have proven a great mix with Success Express delivering his Group I winners Sea Siren, Shamus Award, Gold Edition and Excites with Mystic Belle offered in foal to Cornerstone Stud's young Fastnet Rock sire Valentia.

A brilliant juvenile Group II winner, Valentia is a superb individual who made $1.35 million as a Magic Millions yearling, a clear indication of his stunning good looks.

He covered over 90 mares last spring, so has a good opportunity to make the most of his considerable sire potential.

The resulting foal will be a three-quarter sibling to Mystic Belle's current yearling, a lovely filly (pictured below) by Hinchinbrook that made $72,500 at the 2017 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale when snapped up by Munce Racing.

Mystic Belle will be available for inspection at Barn F 57, 58 68-73.
