When brought into the race by Hugh Bowman, he charged to the line to win the
1600 metre feature going away by three quarters of a length over Foxwedge
gelding Volpino."Half way through it I thought 'why aren't they coming back to me yet, I should be tacked on' so I had to switch him on and get him involved," Bowman said.
"There's no doubt this horse can gallop but I tell you what he's got some growing up to do.
"If he can grow up in the mind he'll be a serious horse in the spring."
Group III placed twice previously this preparation, Salsonic (images Steve Hart) has been working towards a big win and got his just rewards with his overall record now two wins and five placings from 15 starts with prizemoney of $334,925.
