Daily Debutants

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday June 6
The Daily Debutants list for Wednesday features an imported colt by Frankel labelled in the form guide for Sandown as 'nicely bred' - understatement of the year!.

Group I winning Montjeu mare Miss Keller was bought in the UK for 625,000 guineasNew Horizons (Jpn) is the colt in question, a homebred for Paul Fudge's Waratah Thoroughbreds that was conceived in the UK and foaled in Japan as his dam Miss Keller was then covered by Japanese legend Deep Impact.

A Group I winner by Montjeu, Miss Keller was the Champion Turf Mare of Canada for 2010 and was bought by Waratah Thoroughbreds for 625,000 guineas at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale in 2011.

Her first foal for Waratah Thoroughbreds, a filly by Dansili called Balletusa is a winner here in Australia from just five starts and New Horizons is her second foal.

Trained by Darren Weir, he runs first up in a 1200 metre maiden, which might be a shade short of what his ultimate favoured distances will be.

Miss Keller produced a colt by Deep Impact last year and is now back in Australia and due to foal to Deep Impact again this spring to Southern Hemisphere time.
