Riversdale
Farm are offering a stellar selection of 17 mares at the Magic Millions
National Broodmare Sale this week headed by the dam of recent Group I Chairman's
Sprint Prize winner Lucky Bubbles.
A sensational performer for the Francis Lui stable, Sebring five year-old Lucky
Bubbles has been super consistent throughout his career, but soared to new
heights this year when beating the best speedsters in Hong Kong to win his
first Group I race.
Second in the event last year to Chautauqua, Lucky Bubbles atoned for that
defeat with a tenacious victory in the 1200 metre sprint, his eighth win from
19 starts.
Lucky Bubbles is the first foal of Hussonet (USA) mare Bubble Below, who will
be offered as Lot 1086 as agent for Musk Creek Farm with a positive test to his sire Sebring.
Stakes-placed Bubble Below comes from a prolific Black Type family and is a
three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group II winner Colorado Claire, the dam of
this season's unbeaten juvenile Gunnison, winner of the Group II ATC Todman
Stakes.
Gunnison is also destined for Hong Kong having been sold at the inaugural
Inglis Chairman's Sale for $1.4 million earlier this year.
Completely free of Danehill blood, Bubble Below is an easy mare to mate to any
of the top commercial sires and her sire Hussonet has developed a real affinity
for Redoute's Choice and his sire sons opening up a myriad of attractive
options.
Also set to star for Riversdale is high class racemare Jessy Belle, who will be
offered as Lot 728 on behalf of Jeff Allis of Epona Park
Winner of the Group II VRC Matriarch Stakes during the Melbourne Spring
Carnival, Jessy Belle has been stakes-placed again since the catalogue went to
print finishing third in the Listed ATC Lord Mayor's Cup at Rosehill.
A quality racemare with prizemoney topping $780,000, Jessy Belle is by Rock of
Gibraltar (IRE), who has sired over 100 stakes-winners worldwide.
She is the best of three winners from Unconditional Love, a daughter of dual
Group I winner Flitter.
