New Zealand-owned Group I English Derby prospect Eminent is ticking all
the boxes ahead of his classic test on June 3.
The Sir Peter Vela-trained son of Frankel enjoyed a spin around Epsom on
Tuesday during the Breakfast with the Stars session and the colt thrilled his
trainer Martyn Meade.
"He hasn't been away from Newmarket his entire life so it's been a new
experience," he said.
"He came here and stayed overnight and we wanted to see how he handled
everything. He did exactly what we wanted him to do."
Rider Jim Crowley was also more than satisfied with Eminent, who won the Gr.3
Craven Stakes two runs back before finishing sixth in the Gr.1 English 2000
Guineas.
"I was really happy with him," he said. "He came down the hill well and changed
legs nicely."
