Aquis
Farm's Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) is the sire of unbeaten two year-old colt True
Blue Moon, who confirmed himself as a high-class juvenile with Royal Ascot
aspirations after scoring an impressive win in the Listed Rochestown Stakes at
Naas in Ireland on Sunday.
A winner on debut at Dundalk in April, the Joseph O'Brien trained True Blume
Moon stepped up in grade to win the competitive five-furlong sprint by half
length with Donnacha O'Brien in the saddle.
"He won nicely in Dundalk but he had a little setback after that and we were a
bit worried coming here. He's quick and tries hard, and Donnacha (O'Brien) gave
him a great ride. He should improve from that as he missed a week," said Joseph
O'Brien.
"He'd have to go to Ascot after this but which race I'm not sure. I'd be
inclined to stay to five furlongs as he's quick and travels well."
True Blue Moon is the best of seven winners from Fancy Intense, a half-sister
by Peintre Celebre to French Group I winner Tin Horse.
He is the 65th stakes-winner for Holy Roman Emperor, who returns to
Aquis Farm this spring at a fee of $9,900 and was very popular last year covering 127 mares.
