Former
champion racehorse and leading second crop sire So You Think sired his third promising
maiden winner this week when three year-old gelding Solo Heart saluted as a
short priced favourite at Cranbourne on Friday evening.
Having his third start and first on a good surface, Solo Heart relished the
step up to 1600 metres to forge clear and win by three-quarters of a length.
Prepared by Chris Waller for Sun Bloodstock and Sun Kingdom, Solo Heart was a
$130,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Marquee Stud draft and was bred by
Mark Alati.
He is the first winner for imported North American stakes-winner Link to My
Heart (USA), a daughter of Stravinsky.
Solo Heart extends the recent winning run for So You Think, who has several
stakes contenders on Saturday, so the battle for second season sire supremacy
with archrival Foxwedge continues!
So You Think stands at Coolmore at a fee of $60,500.
