Standing
in Queensland for Aquis Farm this spring, Group I sire Husson (Arg) produced an
impressive maiden winner at the Gold Coast on Wednesday with Sneaky Glance
bolting in for the Toby Edmonds stable.
Previously trained by Peter Robl, the Segenhoe Thoroughbreds owned three year-old
was having his first run for his new trainer and gave the indication of better
things to come with this dominant display.
Sneaky Glance dashed away under Jeff Lloyd to win the 1200 metre maiden by
three and a half lengths at his fourth start.
A $100,000 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale purchase from the Edinburgh
Park draft, Sneaky Glance is a half-brother to Group III placed Feels Like Home
and is the third winner from stakes-winning Danehill Dancer (IRE) mare Danehill
Smile.
The sire of current season Group winners Frolic, Lucky Hussler and Moral
Victory, Husson stands at a fee of $13,200.
