Golden Slipper Winner in Foal to Frankel
Tara Madgwick - Wednesday, 3 May 2017
After producing her first foal for Emirates Park last spring, Golden Slipper winner Mossfun has travelled to the Northern Hemisphere to continue her stud career.

Emirates Park have Tweeted – Mossfun scanned 45 days in foal to Frankel.

Rising six, the daughter of Mossman produced a lovely filly by Fastnet Rock (pictured below) last August and was sent to the UK earlier this year to be covered by Frankel to Northern Hemisphere time.

An astute Inglis Easter purchase for Emirates having been plucked from Session II for just $85,000, Mossfun retired with four wins and $2.5 million with highlight victories in the Group I ATC Golden Slipper and Group II ATC Silver Slipper.

Footnote : Emirates Park have confirmed Mossfun will remain in the UK  for two or three years before returning to Australia and her Northern Hemisphere bred foals will be trained in the UK. If she produces fillies, there is always the possibility they will be eventually returned to Australia as broodmares.
