Daily Debutants

Tara Madgwick - Monday April 17
If we needed any reminding as to just how a good a sire High Chaparral (IRE) was we've certainly had it in the past few weeks and this first starter will be well worth watching on Monday.

High ChaparralHigh Chaparral has posted 27 winners in the past 30 days (click here to see them) and among them are Group I winners Tivaci, Charmont and Montoya's Secret, not to mention Group III winner Top of My List and stakes-winner and Group I placed Whispered Secret.

Gone but far from forgotten, High Chaparral has a really interesting runner on Monday with the half-brother to dual Group I winner Pride of Dubai set to make his debut at Canterbury.

The Peter and Paul Snowden trained two year-old colt Icon of Dubai has two recent trials under his belt and has drawn w ell with Blake Shinn to ride.

A homebred for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Icon of Dubai is also a full brother to South African Group II winner Enaad and half-brother to stakes-winner Al Aneed being from exceptional producer Al Anood, who was sent to the Northern Hemisphere last year.
