The
first winner for Widden Stud's exciting young sire Your Song when he saluted
back in November, talented two year-old gelding Bold Kingston resumed from a
spell to score at Doomben on Saturday.
Trained by John Zielke a Toowoomba, Bold Kingston travelled just behind the
leaders and accelerated to the line to win the open juvenile event over 1200
metres by a half neck taking his overall record to two wins and two placings
from six starts with prizemoney topping $76,000.
With the Brisbane Winter Carnival just around the corner, Bold Kingston looks
well placed to add to his record in coming weeks and months.
An $80,000 Magic Millions purchase for Dovedeen Pty Ltd from the Three Bridges
draft, Bold Kingston is the second winner for Hypatia, a half-sister to
stakes-winner Iconic from the family of champions Black Caviar and All Too
Hard.
Bold Kingston is one of seven winners for Your Song, who is a clear leader
among first season sires by winners.
