John Hawkes and sons Michael and Wayne, who operate training bases at Rosehill and Flemington, went to $A1.2 million to claim the daughter of Exceed And Excel.
"She was a correct, well balanced athletic filly as you would expect from her price tag and quite a few Australians present at the sale were very positive about her and Proisir's future stud prospects," Rich Hill Stud's John Thompson said.
Team Hawkes know the filly's family so well having trained Proisir's brother Divine Prophet to triumph in the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas.
They are out of Prophet Jewel, a daughter of the champion sire and champion broodmare sire Encosta de Lago (his mares have left 15 stakes winners this season, including three individual Gr.1 winners).
Thompson was again reminded during his time in Sydney of the regard Australian breeders have for Proisir.
"It is very interesting with the continued success on the racetrack and in the sale ring of stallions like I Am Invincible and Written Tycoon, who were Group performers and started out at fairly modest fees, that the Australian market place are very conscious horses like Proisir have the right credentials to succeed at stud," he said.
"Proisir was considered a very talented racehorse from a great running family and the feeling is he may have slipped under the guard of some Australian studs when he was syndicated in New Zealand."
A lightly-tried son of the champion dual-hemisphere racehorse and stallion Choisir, (this season he has already left three individual Group One winners and a tally of 79 stakes winners), Proisir was the Group Three winner of three of his seven starts and he was also twice Group One placed.
Rich Hill are now looking forward to New Zealand Bloodstock's National Weanling Sale at Karaka on May 8 and 9 where Proisir will be represented by a 21-strong draft.
