Hussein Lootah, son of Emirates Stud owner Nasser, signed for the Arrowfield Stud-consigned filly at $1.7 million and said she will be trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

"We think she is a real two-year-old and the best filly in the sale so we are very happy to have her. She was the one we wanted." Lootah said.

"She's got the best page on her and then we'll see what the future holds but we always have success with Mrs Waterhouse."

Response won the Group I Sangster Stakes and Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes when trained by Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra. Her first foal is the Caulfield winner and Listed placed Alter Call.

Not surprisingly, Waterhouse said the third foal of Response had everything she looks for in a yearling.

"She's big, she's strong, she's got a superb pedigree and all the buffs here on the sale grounds wanted her," Waterhouse said.

"She is the jewel in the crown and Emirates only have quality fillies. I've trained for Hussein and his father for 20 years and pedigrees are essential to them.

"I'm delighted she is joining the stable at Tulloch Lodge."

Emirates purchased the sale topper last year, the Snitzel half-brother to Winx for $2.3 million, the colt is in training with Waterhouse and Bott.
