Hot Lots Easter Day 3

Mark Smith - Wednesday April 5

Back in the heady days of Easter 2008, no less than 28 yearlings made $1million or more, four of those making over $2million.

That sale averaged $376,352 with a median of $250,000.

When the 2017 Easter Yearling sale concludes at Newmarket on Thursday, the number of $1 million plus yearlings will not be challenged however the average and median will give it a big shake.

When Day Two came to a close on Wednesday, 10 yearlings had made a $I million or more while the average is $352,832 and median $270,000.

Those figures should hold up when the sale concludes tomorrow.
