Continually upgrading their own property Sledmere Stud to provide the highest calibre of service to clients, Royston and Catriona Murphy are extremely proud to announce the recent purchase of the adjoining property Kilwinning Stud.

KilwinningOperating as a functional stud, the property has a proud history within the thoroughbred industry and with triple Group 1 Darley TJ Smith Stakes winner Chautauqua having been foaled and raised at Kilwinning, Royston and Catriona could not be more excited about what lies ahead.

Kept in pristine condition, Kilwinning is a 160 acre property with four houses, horse walker, turn out yards, double fence post railing and stabling facilities for over 20 horses, taking the overall size of the two properties to 860 acres of prime undulating paddocks with improved pasture and irrigation.

"The purchase fits in with the continual expansion and upgrading of Sledmere Stud, and as a functional property with industry history, we are looking forward to the benefits the farm will allow us to pass on to our extensive client base," stated Royston.
