Little Avondale Black Type Action on Both Sides of Tasman

Media Release - Monday March 27

A domestic Group II winner with a galloper LA bred in partnership and a second placing in a Group III event in Sydney with a son of Per Incanto  (USA) that the farm also bred highlighted a very successful Saturday afternoon of racing.

All Roads (Road To Rock-Dancing Daze by Dance Floor), victorious in the 1600m G2 Windsor Park Japan New Zealand Trophy at Tauranga, was part of a winning double for the partnership of LA and long-time client and friend Don Gordon. Earlier in the afternoon, the NZ Derby 4th place-getter of his year, Saint Kitt (Keeper-Southern Cry by Kaapstad) had taken out the $30,000 1800m Hororata Gold Cup at Riccarton.

All RoadsTony and Lou Cole's Argonaut Racing and Breeding purchased All Roads from the LA draft at the 2013 Karaka Select Yearling Sale for $40,000.

LA enjoyed a very successful day at the Canterbury Racing Clubs meeting with former Hong Kong galloper Flying Ibis ( Nadeem -Fiery Sunset) landing the $30,000 open sprint and the exciting Don Carlo ( Per Incanto -Turf Fire by O'Reilly) making it four wins from just seven starts with a tough win in the 3YO handicap event over 1000m, despite the impost of 59.5kgs.

Meanwhile at Rosehill, the LA bred Per Incanto 4YO Dal Cielo ( Per Incanto-Cent From Heaven by Centaine) gained further Australian black-type with his second placing in the 1200m G3 Star Kingdom Stakes.

It's fair to say it was a Super Saturday!
