Beau Rada Wins Inglis 55 Second Challenge

Media Release - Friday March 24

The final Heat of the Inglis 55 Second Challenge series for 2016/17 was run at Moonee Valley on Friday evening, with Sirbible's time of 55.84 seconds for the 955m sprint remaining on top.

Tonight's dash was won in a blanket finish by Beau Rada ahead of Sunday Escape and series winner Sirbible in 55.29 seconds, the fourth fastest of the season.

Trainer Russell Bell wins a $50,000 credit to an Inglis sale of his choice in 2017 for Sirbible's winning time of 54.84 from Heat 5 last November.

"It is just a great concept for the trainer to get this bonus, if the owners have a good horse you're running for great prizemoney, but for the trainers to get a bonus like this is a great idea and I can't thank Inglis enough," said Bell.

Bell has a bevy of upcoming Inglis sales to choose from in coming weeks if he opts to use his voucher there saying "we'll see what happens over the coming months."
