Capitalist Book Full - Flying Artie and Extreme Choice Retired

Last year's Golden Slipper Winner Capitalist is fully booked for the 2017 breeding season with a stellar book of mares due to line up to the Champion 2YO . 

"The demand for his services have been intense since announcing his fee a couple of weeks ago. We feel humbled that virtually every top breeder in the nation will be supporting him this season," said Director of Stallions and Sales Bruce Slade.

Flying Artie - Grant CourtneyIt was also announced today that Extreme Choice, winner of the Group 1 Blue Diamond and Group 1 Moir Stakes, and Flying Artie winner of the Group 1 Coolmore Stakes and the Group 1 Blue Diamond-Golden Slipper place getter have also been retired to stand at Newgate in 2017.

"We feel honoured to be standing these very special colts. They are the elite Australian two and three-year-old sprinters of their generation, the cream of the crop. They are horses with the exactly the right profiles to develop into Champion Australian sires," said Bruce Slade.

Leading trainer Mick Price commented, "It has been a privilege to train two colts as genuinely exceptional as Extreme Choice and Flying Artie. They will be missed in the stable, however they retire to stud as colts that have the potential to make a major impact on the Australian breeding industry."

Fees for Extreme Choice and Flying Artie will be announced in due course.
