Triple Crown's Redzel is on top of his game heading
into a tilt at the Group 1 Galaxyon Golden Slipper day at Rosehill on
Saturday.
The son of Snitzel is bidding to become a third Group 1 winner for Australia's
leading syndicator, after Peggy Jean and Hot Snitzel struck at racing's highest
level, andwill line up on 3kg better terms to English than when going
down by a nose to the marein the Challenge Stakes at Randwick on March

On aheavy track, Redzel valiantly chased down the eventual winner in the
Group 2 event, but just ran out of turf as he closed in approaching the winning
post under Kerrin McEvoy.
Melbourne jockey Dwayne Dunn takes the ride on this occasionfor the 1100m
sprint, as Redzel will jump from barrier 11.
Peter Snowden reports the four-year-old to have come out of his lastrace
well, and is looking forward to Redzel taking his chance.
"He's come through his lastrun well and I'm happy with him," he
said."I'm happy with his recent work and he's in good order. He'll
be well weighted as he meets English again but on 3kg better terms.
"There's a lot to like about his chances being a handicap. It's the right
race and the right distance for him. This is no ordinary race being a Group
1."
Redzel already hasthree Stakes wins to his name, most recently when
blasting clear to win the Listed Mumm Stakes at Flemington in November last
year, andvictory in thisGroup 1 contest would bring hiscareer
earnings to just shy of $1 million following his purchasefor $120,000
