Andrew Williams Bloodstock Launched

Media Release - Tuesday March 14
Andrew Williams is pleased to announce the launch of his bloodstock agency, Andrew Williams Bloodstock.

Andrew WilliamsOperating out of Sydney, Australia, Andrew will work closely with established racing stables and breeders in Australasia, offering a full range of bloodstock services.

A familiar face around the sale grounds and racetracks, Andrew has been working in bloodstock sales with Arrowfield Stud since January 2013.

Born and raised in the Waikato, heart of New Zealand's thoroughbred industry, Andrew's early enthusiasm for racing and breeding led him to seek international training and experience over the past decade.

After graduating in 2007 from the University of Otago with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting & Marketing, Andrew gained a place on the 2007 Darley Flying Start programme. The two-year programme included work placements with Keeneland Sales and renowned trainer Michael Jarvis then Roger Varian in Newmarket, and David Hayes in Australia.

This was followed by four years with Darley America in Kentucky, gaining valuable experience and contacts in North America where Andrew continues to assist clients. He also worked for international bloodstock agency Blandford Bloodstock working the major US and European yearling and breeding stock sales.

"I'm very grateful to everyone who has helped me to develop my career to this point, especially John Messara and the team at Arrowfield, Darley America, and Richard Brown and Tom Goff from Blandford Bloodstock," Andrew says.

"I have the appropriate mix of experience, knowledge and energetic youth to launch my own business, and couldn't be more excited about the future. I'm looking forward to giving clients a full-support service so they can enjoy their racing and breeding interests with confidence."
