This
talented daughter of Golden Slipper winner Sepoy was second on debut to Blue Diamond
winner Catchy and then second at her next run to Magic Millions 2YO Classic
winner Houtzen, so was always going to be a short priced favourite at Bendigo on
Tuesday.
Trained by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, Garrard ran up to her strong form lines
to surge home and win the 1000 metre maiden by three-quarters of a length.
It was a good tough win as she was punted wide during the run, covering more ground
than she would have liked, but was still too strong for the fast finishing
first starter Sebfire, a half-brother by Sebring to Group I winner Shamal Wind.
A $120,000 Magic Millions purchase from the draft of Turangga Farm for Trevor Luke, Garrard is
the first winner for Fitness, an unraced More Than Ready (USA) daughter of Group
III placed Dane Tryst from the family of Group I winners Redding, Leica Smile
and Nothin’ Leica Dane.
Turangga Farm have the2017 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale next on the
agenda with 11 yearlings entered by a wide variety of sires. Click here to
