What a wonderful servant Silent Sedition has been for the Andrew Noblet stable.
The 4yo daughter of War Chant has not run a bad race in her 13 start career and at Caulfield on Saturday was rewarded with a fourth stakes victory in the $150,000 Group III Mannerism Stakes (1400m).
Sent off an odds-on favourite under Craig Williams, Silent Sedition led from the start to defeat Thames Court (Commands) by three-quarters of a length, with Miss Rose De Lago (Encosta de Lago) the same margin away in third. (photos Grant Courtney).
Silent Sedition led through to win the Mannerism Stakes (1400m) on Saturday and now Noblet is eyeing the Coolmore Stakes at Rosehill on March 11.
Noblet indicated a trip to Sydney for the Coolmore Classic was on the cards provided the track was dry.
"I wouldn't like to go up there on an affected track like it was today," Noblet told AAP.
"If it looked good for her then I think she deserves her chance at a race like that."
"I thought she'd be two lengths off the lead but she jumped so well and he summed it up that she was the one to beat and it turned out that way."
Consigned by Korilya Stud to the 2014 Perth Magic Millions Yearling sale, Silent Sedition was purchased by Aqua Trained Thoroughbreds for $45,000.
Her overall record stands at 5 wins, 5 seconds and 3 thirds from 14 starts for earnings of $543,650.
Silent Sedition's unraced dam Fiorentina (Dubai Destination) had been purchased for just $1,750 at the 2009 Inglis August Thoroughbred sale.
So imagine the joy of her new owners when Fiorentina's two years younger half-brother Monterosso went on to win the world's richest race, the Group 1 Dubai World Cup.
Fiorentina and Monterosso are out of the Group 1 Coolmore Classic heroine Porto Roco whose first foal Seven Stars (King's Best) is the dam of Group II Expressway Stakes winner Happy Galaxy.
In 2015, Korilya Stud dispersed its bloodstock and Fiorentina made a more respectable $50,000 to the bid of Tubba Bloodstock when carrying a filly by Dick Turpin (IRE).
Fiorentina has a yearling colt by promising young stallion Gingerbread Man and it was no surprise when Aqua Trained Thoroughbreds P/L / Andrew Noblet Racing went to $170,000 to secure the chestnut from the Korilya Stud draft at the recent Magic Millions Perth Yearling sale.
Fiorentina foaled a colt by Snippetson last August and was bred back to Coolmore Stud's first season stallion Pride Of Dubai.
