Saturday's $200,000 Group II Guy Walter Stakes (1400m) at Randwick was a story easy told, the Ron Quinton-trained mare Dixie Blossoms went straight to the front under Tim Clark, extended her margin at every call to be six and a half lengths in front when the judge invoked the mercy rule.
The 4yo daughter of Street Sense emerged from the gloom all on her own leaving it to the John Thompson's Zanbagh (Bernardini) to claim second with Flippant (Hinchinbrook) a further one and a half lengths back in third. (photo Steve Hart).

"She's obviously a very talented mare and rapt for Ronnie to ride a good winner for him."
Quinton said Dixie Blossoms would target the $600,000 Group I Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill on March 11, a race he has won previously with Ofcourseican (2012) and Peeping last year.
