I would hope there would be a home at some leading stud for Darren Weir's bighearted Stratum Star who added Saturday's $200,000 Group II Crown Lager Peter Young Stakes (1800m) at Caulfield on Saturday to a growing list of accomplishments.
The tough–as-teak 5yo entire made it three wins on the trot to win a sixth stakes race that includes Group I victories in the Kingston Town Classic and Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes.
He has been a money making machines for connections and is racing in great heart.
The son of Stratum captured the $1 million Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) at Ascot on December 3 before crossing the continent to the Gold Coast add the $1million Magic Millions Trophy (2200m) on January 14.

A $165,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft for Rick Hore-Lacy, who prepared him for his first four starts, Stratum Star advances his record to 8 wins, 7 seconds and 8 thirds from 35 starts with earnings of $2,375,960.
Weir indicated the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) at Flemington on March 11 would be the target for the 5yo son of Stratum.
"He is a good tough horse, a magnificent looking horse, obviously he is not going to be around much longer. There is a fair bit of interest from studs to stand him," Weir said.
"I think he will make a great stallion and when you see him in the yard he is a beautiful horse, tough and sound.
"You've got to be a tough horse to do what he has done, he's just got the best attitude, he's sound and loves to work.
"He is the perfect horse really.
"We planned to run today and then onto the Australian Cup.
"He has to be a live chance in that the way he ran today."
The
Stratum Star is the first foal of Pins mare Purely Spectacular, a full sister to stakes-winner Raid from the family of champion mare Emancipation.
Purely Spectacular's 2yo Star Witness filly Runway Queen finished third in a Seymour maiden four days ago when making her career debut.
Purely Spectacular has a yearling filly by Stratum and was covered by Redoute's Choice last spring after missing to the champion stallion in 2015.
