There's plenty of stars on show at both Caulfield and Randwick so I'm splitting my attention between the two venues and betting with confidence.
SPRIGHT (Randwick Race 6 No 5)
Going to take the punt that Spright has improved enough off her first-up run to challenge Global Glamour who is beautifully placed under the conditions of this race. The Gary Frazer trained 3YO resumed from a spell over 1200m at Randwick and was not disgraced running home strongly behind Global Glamour and Foxplay however she really raced like she wanted more ground. Last time in training Spright progressed through the grades winning three straight culminating in a Group III win over 1100m at Flemington. At Randwick last time out she gave away a decent start to eventual winner, dual Group I heroine Global Glamour and while the winner turned in an impressive performance after being forced to work early she did have the benefit of race fitness over Spright who will no doubt strip fitter this time around. Really deep race and as such we're getting good each-way odds about a high quality filly so I'm happy to take the punt she can get home over the favourite and will play each-way.

PARIAH (Caulfield Race 7 No 4)
You don't get a more open edition of the Blue Diamond than this one but all that does is get us a better price about Pariah. The Peter and Paul Snowden trained colt turned in an absolute beauty when second in the Blue Diamond Prelude behind Property and that experience around Caulfield will stand him well here. He was the only horse in either edition of the Prelude to break 22 seconds for the last 400m making up three lengths on the winner and covering his final 600m in 33.62. There's sure to be plenty of speed so look for Blake Shinn to settle Pariah a little worse than midfield and looking at his closing sectionals when winning on debut at Rosehill and his last 600m behind Property Pariah is going to prove very hard to hold out now he's up to 1200m.

EXTREME CHOICE (Caulfield Race 8 No 3)
This time last year Extreme Choice was sensational winning the Blue Diamond from stablemate Flying Artie and I reckon he's primed to repeat the dose 12 months later. The Diamond was his third start in his opening preparation and Extreme Choice pushed on to the Golden Slipper when a forget run after being knocked out of the race early on. He resumed last preparation with a brilliant win in the Moir Stakes giving him two-from-two first-up and on that occasion he was too good in a race where he came from second last and accounted for the likes of Chautauqua, Buffering and Lucky Hussler. He resumes again here off the back of an easy 800m Cranbourne trial performance where he led and wasn't knocked about at all. While he has led to win twice the Mick Price trained sprinter has been more impressive in his two wins when ridden off the speed and from barrier nine I'm expecting Craig Newitt will take the same option again here. Possessed of brilliant acceleration I can see Extreme Choice stalking before being turned loose at the 300m and charging home like he did at Moonee Valley in the Moir.

ABBEY MARIE (Caulfield Race 9 No 3)
Abbey Marie looked the goods winning her first three starts culminating in the SA Oaks where she beat Silent Sedition into second placing then she missed the spring. She resumed against many of her rivals here over an unsuitable 1200m trip a fortnight back but caught the eye working nicely through the line to be a bit over three lengths from the winner. The step up to 1400m is a big plus and there's no doubt that first-up run will have brought her on greatly. She's a good quality mare and while better off over even more ground Abbey Marie was super-impressive winning her second ever start over 1440m at this course easily beating Lyuba.

YOUR WAY (Randwick Race 9 No 8)
Really like the way this mare is progressing and she certainly knows how to win with a record of (8:6-0-1) with the only time out of the placings being an unlucky fifth over 1350m at Rosehill. Last time out Your Way really took her game to a new level when having her first outing at Randwick in a similar 1200m race to this. She was held up soon after straightening but when the opportunity arose she showed great tenacity pushing into the clear before accelerating away to win by an ever increasing margin. Drawn well in barrier five and with good speed from the likes of Quatronic, Machinegun Jubs and Zara Bay Tim Clark should find a good trailing position on Your Way and expecting she'll be too strong again with only 1.5kg over the limit.
