So We Have Two New Winners!

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday February 7
Former champion racehorse and now leading young sire So You Think is steadily building momentum towards the Sydney and Melbourne Autumn Carnivals with two more impressive new winners saluting at the Newcastle meeting on Tuesday.

Prepared by Joe Pride for Proven Thoroughbreds, three year-old gelding So Spirited scored a bold length and a quarter win at his second run back from a spell over 1250 metres.

So Spirited as a yearlingA $150,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Coolmore draft for Jamie Walter's Proven Thoroughbreds, So Spirited will be looking for longer journeys as his campaign progresses and holds an entry for the Group I ATC Australian Derby on April 1.

Foaled and raised at Coolmore, So Spirited is a half-brother to stakes-winner Fire Thunderbolt and Group III placed Spirited Princess being the fifth winner from good producer Spirited and Sexy, who died in 2014.
