While the Brendan McShane trained filly is yet to break her duck in Melbourne in three starts, she made it five consecutive wins under regular rider Bulent Muhcu.
In a win more workmanlike than brilliant, Hot Dipped defeated Wyuna (Tough Speed) by three-quarters of a length with Triband (Fastnet Rock) a long-neck back in third in the traditional lead-up to the Tasmanian Oaks Tasmanian Oaks at Launceston on February 19.
"I can't see anything stopping her from doing that," McShane said. "But we'll sit down and discuss it.
"I only gave Bulent one instruction, to not use her brutal let-down speed to creep into the race.
"Average out the sections and you'll see why he went for home so early. That was my instruction, balance out the sections and you'll win."
In earning her third stakes win, Hot Dipped advances her overall record to 8 wins from 11 starts with earnings of $294,726.
