The Ciaron Maher trained Villa Rosa was sent out a hot favourite for the 1000 metre maiden on debut and got the job done in forging clear to win by a length and a quarter.

The first two home drew aright away from their rivals with a gap of eight lengths back to the third horse.

A $420,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Blue Gum Farm draft for Ciaron Maher Racing. Villa Rosa is the fourth winner from Group II winning Rubiton speedster Truly Wicked.

Truly Wicked produced another filly by Exceed and Excel last year and is back in foal to the Darley stalwart again.
