The
Bjorn Baker stable can do no wrong at present and claimed another feature race
win at Gosford on Friday with quality mare Imposing Lass taking out the Group
III Belle of the Turf Stakes providing a good update for her Karaka bound
half-brother.
Beaten into second place last Saturday at Warwick Farm, the daughter of Makfi
(GB) relished the quick back up and step up to 1600 metres to win the $150,000
contest by a length as favourite.
A $120,000 NZB Premier purchase from the Westbury stud draft for Paul Willetts,
Imposing Lass (pictured Steve Hart) has won five of 10 starts and this is her second Black Type win
as she won the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet last season at three.
Imposing Lass is a half-sister to Group III winners Full of spirit and Lady
Cumquat being from the good producing Zabeel mare Imposingly.
Westbury Stud will offer the current yearling from Imposingly, a colt by Epsom
Derby winner Camelot (GB) at the NZB Premier Yearling Sale as Lot 207.
