Aussie Juvenile Winner South Africa

Tara Madgwick - Friday January 6
Scoring an easy win at Vaal in South Africa on Thursday was the Mike de Kock trained two year-old filly Fish River, whose yearling half-sister will be offered at Magic Millions next week by Aquis Farm.

Third on debut at Turffontein last month, Fish River made no mistakes this time, romping home to win the 1000 metre juvenile maiden by three and a half lengths.

By Canford Cliffs (IRE) from Zabeea, she was a $130,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Form Bloodstock from the draft of Rosemont Stud and was a successful pinhook having been first bought by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock for $60,000 from the Yarraman draft at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.

Aquis Farm will offer the current yearling from Zabeea, a filly by Starspangledbanner at Magic Millions as Lot 586. (pictured below)

Also winning his fourth race on the same program was Ilitshe (6g Fastnet Rock x Reem Albaraari, by Sadler’s Wells) who scored by three-quarters of a length over 1800 metres.
