Most Important Hits Millionaire Status

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 31
Winning Rupert was not the only horse to pick up a $500,000 bonus at Eagle Farm on Saturday with progressive I Am Invincible sprinter Most Important following suit to claim his half million after winning the final leg of the Brisbane summer sprint triple crown.

The Tony Gollan trained Most Important needed to win the $100,000 Buffering Quality Handicap (1300m) to take the bonus following wins at his past two starts in the Group III BRC George Moore Stakes (1200m) and Listed BRC Lough Neagh (1350m).

He was sent out the $2.60 favourite and wore down Sydney veteran Ninth Legion to score by a long head.

Most Important as a yearlingMost Important was a $260,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park draft and has won seven races and placed eight times from 24 starts earning over $1million in prizemoney for Graham and Linda Huddy.

Tony Gollan said he would send Most Important to a spelling farm for two or three days before deciding on his Magic Millions day target on January 14 at the Gold Coast.

"I have him in the Sprint over 1200 metres and the Cup over 1400 on Millions day. I will have a talk with Robbie (jockey Fradd) and the owners before we decide," Gollan said.

"This horse has been so tough and has been in work since June. He had a big hike in the weights today but I knew he would try hard and that is what he did in the final drive to the line.

"He will drop in weight in the Magic Millions race no matter which way we go."

I Am InvincibleBred and sold by Yarraman Park, Most Important is the best of four winners for Orange Marmalade (NZ), a half-sister by Stravinsky (USA) to Group III winner Just a Dream from Group III winner Majestic Angel.

Yarraman Park sold the current two year-old from Orange Marmalade, another colt by I Am Invincible at Magic Millions this year for $500,000.

Orange Marmalade has a yearling filly by Hinchinbrook, but had no foal this spring after missing last year.

I Am Invincible has big representation at upcoming sales with 47 yearlings for Magic Millions and 27 for Inglis Classic.
