Third Winner for Burgundy Brings MM Update
Tara Madgwick - Tuesday, 27 December 2016
Stud's young Redoute's Choice stallion Burgundy posted his third winner on
Tuesday with a debut victory at Pukekura for two year-old filly Nucleonic,
whose half-brother will be offered at Magic Millions by Aquis Farm.
Trained by Stephen Autridge and Jamie Richards, Nucleonic drew clear to win by
nearly two lengths in the 1000 metre maiden.
She is the second winner for stakes-winning Volksraad mare Mexican Rose, the
Champion Two and Three in Singapore in 2009 and 2010.
Aquis Farm will offer the current yearling from Mexican Rose, a colt by O'Reilly,as Lot 216.
A big strapping bay, he is one of only two colts in the entire catalogue by the
champion New Zealand sire, whose best progeny excel over all distances.
Nucleonic adds to the pleasing start at stud being enjoyed by Burgundy, who has an impressive three winners from just four runners.
