Rain not only is the sire of arguably the best two year-old we've seen to date this
season in She Will Reign, but also a smart horse in South Africa in Whisky
Baron, who posted his fourth win at Kenilworth on Tuesday.
Trained by Brett Crawford for Messrs C & R Kieswetter, Whisky Baron won the
1800 metre allowance plate by a length and three-quarters as favourite.
Already Group III placed twice, Whisky Baron has the overall record of four
wins and six placings from 11 runs.
A modest $50,000 Inglis Easter purchase for C Roscoe/ J Ramsden from the
Arrowfield Stud draft, Whisky Baron is the lone Black Type horse among four
winners from Tazkara (Fr), who Studbook report has gone back to France after
producing five foals in Australia.
