Three Bridges Pinhook wins Again

Saluting at Canterbury for the David Payne stable on Wednesday was four year-old gelding Doc Holliday, a $180,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Nordic Breeding and Racing from the Three Bridges Thoroughbreds draft.

Doc Holliday as a yearlingAllowed to roll forward by Glynn Schofield, Doc Holliday travelled smoothly throughout in second place and fought on strongly to win the 2700 metre staying test by a half neck under 60 kg.

Doc Holliday has won five of 16 starts earning over $108,000 in prizemoney.

Doc Holliday is yet another highly successful pinhook for Three Bridges Thoroughbreds, bought by Paul Willetts for just $22,000 at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.

He is from stakes-placed Danehill (USA) mare Fiammarosa, a full sister to Group I winner Shinzig and stakes-winner Strada from Group I STC Coolmore Classic winner Shindig.
