Highclere Stud Announce Fees

Highclere Stud in the UK have announced fees for Group I producing sire Paco Boy and brilliant Invincible Spirit sprinter Cable Bay, the most popular first season sire in the UK this year.

Cable Bay covered a terrific book of 152 quality mares including 38 Group/Stakes winners or producers such as Clizia, dam of dual Group I winning sprinter Goldream; Request, dam of Group I Coronation Stakes winner Ask; On A Soap Box, winner of Group I American Oaks; Beldarian, dam of Group I Queensland Derby winner Dariana; Key Light, dam of Group II Flying Childers winner Beacon; Silver Kestrel, dam of Group III Albany Stakes winner Habaayib etc. ½ sisters to 104 Group/Stakes winners and daughters of 38 Group/Stakes winners. Interestingly only Dubawi covered more mares in England this year.

Paco Boy has now established himself as an excellent proven stallion whose progeny have won or been placed in over 35 Group/Stakes races from only his third crop. Galileo Gold has flown the flag this season winning this year's Group I 2000 Guineas and Group I St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

"We are delighted Cable Bay has proven to be the most popular first season sire. Entering his second season we wanted to give breeders an extra incentive to follow his fantastic first book of 152 mares, so we have decided to stand him at £5,000," said Jake Warren.
