NZB Ready to Run Sale Breeze Ups concluded today with 271 two-year-olds showcasing their potential as they galloped down the straight at Te Rapa Racecourse.

The youngsters breezed up on a Dead 4 track today while yesterday's breeze ups were conducted on a Dead 5 track with a head wind.

TavistockLast year's leading vendor, Diamond Lodge, had 14 two-year-olds in action today including Lot 295, the colt by Power, who breezed in a smart time of 10.52 seconds, he was partnered by the Jimmy Choux colt, Lot 97, who ran in 10.53 seconds.

Expert preparers Lyndhurst Farm also presented 14 horses today including a colt by boom sire Tavistock, Lot 299, who breezed up in 10.50 seconds while his partner, a Hussonet colt, Lot 136, clocked a time of 10.43 seconds.

Ohaupo-based Riversley Park were back in action today and, among their youngsters, presented the smart breezer, Lot 526, the Savabeel gelding who galloping in a time of 10.46 seconds. He was partnered by a colt by Fastnet Rock, Lot 426, who clocked a similar time of 10.45 seconds.

The fastest time of the day came from a pair of colts prepared by Woburn Farm. Lot 18 by Guillotine performed in a swift time of 10.37 seconds while Lot 394, by Rip Van Winkle, breezed up in 10.41 seconds.

At the completion of the two-day Breeze Ups, NZB's Bloodstock Sales Manager Danny Rolston was pleased with the results across both days.

"Breezing today in slightly better conditions, the quality of the horses on offer and the level of education is outstanding and a credit to all vendors.

"We're looking forward to a successful Sale in November with genuine confidence in the stock."

This year's Breeze Ups will be aired lot-by-lot on Trackside TV in New Zealand and Racing.com in Australia with schedules yet to be announced.
