A full brother to former classy three year-old Proisir, whose first foals are being born this spring, Divine Prophet (images Grant Courtney) won the Group III ATC Up and Coming Stakes at Randwick at his first run back from a spell and has been gallant in defeat in two subsequent runs.
Given a great ride by Dwayne Dunn from gate one, Divine Prophet arrived on the post to win by a head over Seaburge (Sebring) and Hey Doc (Duporth) taking his overall record to three wins from nine starts with prizemoney upwards of $850,000.
"He did pull with me for the first quarter of the race and it wasn't until we got to the hill that he switched off for me," Dunn said.
"He came back underneath me and relaxed beautiful for me - from there it was just a matter of finding a run through in the straight and he got it done.
"He's got a great attitude and wants to work with you rather than against you.
"He's going to make someone a lovely stallion when he gets to the breeding barn."
Wayne Hawkes trains Divine Prophet in partnership with his father John and brother Michael, the combination winning the 2012 Caulfield Guineas with All Too Hard after John Hawkes won the race with Lonhro.
He said Divine Prophet had always shown Group I potential.

"He dug so deep," Hawkes said. "My brother Michael said to me some time ago this is a proper horse and he was right.
"He's done everything right - the barrier was perfect and in these good races you need a good barrier and it was a perfect ride by Dwayne.
"He's still in the Cox Plate - Lonhro won this race then ran in the Cox Plate but you know what we're like.
The tenth Group I winner for Choisir, Divine Prophet was bred and retained to race by Anthony and Mario Falcone, who also raced his mother Prophet Jewel, a smart Sydney metropolitan winner of six races by Encosta de Lago.
They enjoyed much success with his older brother Proisir, who won the Group III Newcastle Spring Stakes and was Group I placed in the ATC Spring Champion Stakes and Randwick Guineas. He now stands at Rich Hill Stud in New Zealand.
Divine Prophet results from the first subsequent mating to Proisir's sire Choisir for Prophet Jewel, who has a yearling filly by Exceed and Excel and was covered last spring by Newgate Farm's Australian Horse of the Year Dissident and has since produced a filly.
Divine Prophet is bred on the same cross as Group I winner Japonisme , who is also by Choisir from a daughter of Encosta de Lago.
Choisir stands this spring at Coolmore at a fee of $29,700 alongside his champion son Starspanglebdanner at $24,750.
