A milestone for Bowness Stud shuttler Bullet Train who sired
his first black-type winner when Whiskey Train came from last to claim raced
the $75,000 Armed Forces Stakes at Gulfstream Park on Saturday.
Making just his second start, the Laura Cazares-trained
gelding threaded his way between runners to get the better of Sonic Mule in the
closing stages.
The Kentucky-bred gelding was sold for $9,000 to McMachon
& Hill Bloodstock at the 2015 Keeneland September yearling sale.
A half-brother to three winners Whiskey Train is out of
Enjoy, a Grade 1-placed daughter of Roar.
Enjoy has a yearling full brother to Whiskey Train named
Trump Train.
Bullet Train, who is a Sadler's Wells three-quarter brother
to champion Frankel (Galileo), is covering his fourth book of mares at Bowness
Stud for $11,000.
His first Australian crop race this season.
