Fillies Beat Colts in Juvenile Trials

Two juvenile heats at the Rosehill barrier trials on Monday morning produced a couple of impressive fillies by More Than Ready (USA) and I Am Invincible.

Luiza as a yearlingStar Thoroughbreds and Chris Waller have been a powerful combination in recent weeks scoring Group success with Foxplay and Veladero, the partnership taking the first juvenile trial with I Am Invincible filly Luiza.

Having her first trial, Luiza looked a natural racehorse jumping fast from the gates for Hugh Bowman and travelling strongly in the lead before dashing clear.

She won the 893 metre gallop by two and a half lengths in 53.50 seconds beating Severence (2c Redoute's Choice x Hussta La Vista).

A $150,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Yarraman Park draft, Luiza is a half-sister to stakes-winning juvenile Moshki from the good producer Zedski.

Gerald Ryan produced the second two year-old winner with expensive More Than Ready (USA) filly Didn't Mention It turning in a fast and professional performance.

Didn't Mention It as a yearlingThird to highly rated Godolphin filly Jorda at the official two year-old trials, Didn't Mention It led throughout and kicked clear for Tommy Berry to win by three lengths in 53.60 seconds beating Goodfella (2c Snitzel x Movie).

A $400,000 Magic Millions purchase for BK Racing and Breeding from the Amarina Farm draft, Didn't Mention It is the first foal of brilliant grey juvenile Hussousa, winner of the Listed ATC Gimcrack Stakes and second in the Group II ATC Silver Slipper.
