Back
in 2013 this little fella's photo arrived to go into the Breednet Foal Gallery
and three years on he's favourite for the Caulfield Guineas, with a brand new sister just arrived in time to see him go for glory.
He was at the time quite notable as his older half-brother Proisir had emerged
as one of the best three-year-olds in the country with much expected form him.
He won the Gr.3 Spring Stakes at Newcastle but had the misfortune at three to
run into a red hot It's Dundeel and indeed finished second to that horse twice
in the Gr.1 Spring Champion Stakes and Gr.1 Randwick Guineas which was
ultimately to prove his final start.
Now it's Divine Prophet's chance to shine at three after being placed in the
Gr.1 Champagne Stakes last season he resumed with a cracking win in the Gr.3 Up
And Coming Stakes at Randwick before finding trouble when fourth in the Gr.1
Golden Rose last start.
He's the $2.40 favourite in the Stan Fox Stakes this week and currently the $5
favourite in the Caulfield Guineas next month.
And while Divine Prophet was a lateish foal, born November 2, the little miss
below is the latest arrival for their dam Prophet Jewel this time by Dissident,
foaled on August 22.
She's making fine progress too with the image below taken on September 13 and
the one at the bottom taken a week later. Both pictures were taken by Katrina
Partridge Photography.
