Foals Have Sheer Talent

Breednet - Tuesday September 20
Carrington Park Stud are pleased to announce the arrival of the first foals for their new Stallion Sheer Talent.

Retired to stud last year after his promising career was cut short due to injury, Sheer Talent was a Group 3 Winner of the C.S. Hayes Stakes at Flemington as a 3YO before running 3rd in the Group 1 Australian Guineas.

A regally bred son of Redoute's Choice, who's sons at stud include Snitzel, Not A Single Doubt and Stratum, Sheer Talent descends from the Eight Carat family responsible for top stallions Commands, Octagonal, Kaapstad, Danewin as well as new stallions Shooting To Win and Deep Field.

"We are delighted with the Sheer Talent foals. He is throwing a great barrelled foal with a deep girth, plenty of leg and superb muscle definition.

"They also have an attractive quality to them, which is synonymous with the Redoute's Choice line"

The first foals by Sheer Talent includes the bay colt from Lady Of Cebu (pictured below), a Lonhro mare from the family of Exceedingly Good, Better Be The One and Avoid Lightning.

Another is a Chestnut Colt with the markings of a Miracles Of Life and Karuta Queen is from Rock The Media (pictured below), an Easy Rocking Mare from the family of Diamond Shower, Diamond Dane & Jewel Flight.

He has also produced a Bay Filly from Selene's Bequest (pictured below), a Lion Cavern mare that is a half sister to 2-time Broodmare Of The Year Benediction who produced Champion Might and Power. It is also the family of Champions Mosheen & Lucky Owners.

Sheer Talent standing his 2nd season in 2016 at $4,400 at Carrington Park Stud.
