Youngsters Breeze Well at Gold Coast

The stage continues to be set for next month's Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale with a successful breeze up session held today.

The Gold Coast Turf Club played host to 171 youngsters who breezed around the track and were clocked for 200 metres.

The quickest time was recorded by one of the supplementary lots, Lot 346, the Star Witness-High Aspirations colt from Washpool Lodge.

The chestnut colt, who is the second living foal of an Exceed and Excel half sister to Simply the Best, ran 10.28 seconds.

A number of other youngsters impressed with a time of 10.30 seconds for Lot 103, the Bel Esprit-Aquada colt, another quality type from the Washpool Lodge draft.

"It was a very successful session of breeze ups," Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox said.

"All vendors and their staff should be congratulated on the presentation and efforts of their two-year-olds."

"The sale is a proven source of racetrack stars and only last night in Singapore the $115,000 2YO in Training Sale purchase Twickenham won the feature black type event, the Committee's Prize," Cox added.

Tomorrow Warwick Farm will host a breeze up session from 9am. The final Gold Coast breeze up session will be held again at the Gold Coast Turf Club on October 10.
